Hammond Girls Defeat M-W, 62-45

The Hammond Red Devils win over the Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets by the score of 62-45 in the opening round of the Ben Cordwell Memorial tournament. The halftime score was 34-24. Hammond outscored M-W 15-8 in the second quarter and 18-10 in the 4th quarter. Brittany Kenyon led the Red Devils with 23 points. Malynda Jenne added 12 points and Aubrie Dunn had 11 points for Hammond. Jennifer Curley led the Yellowjackets with 18 points. Stephanie Lancto added 11 points.
