Though this game ended in a draw you would not have thought so after the first period. Salmon River peppered Viking Goalie Jon Hall with numerous shots in the first period yet the score remained tied at 0-0. Heading into period 2 you knew the Shamrocks would open up the scoring. Salmon's top line of Chris Lewis, Marc Plante and Ty Thompson all figured in the scoring with a goal each in the second period. While the Vikings were again held scoreless. However, the Vikings would answer the challenge as they responded with a 3 goal flurry of their own as Lars Grater scored a PP goal in the first minute of the third. Teammate Trevor Parisian scored the 2nd T-I goal mid-way through the period and Senior Kory Kendall completed the Viking comeback with the game tying goal with 5 minutes remaining. Though the Vikings had numerous scoring chances in the third and in overtime, Salmon River goalie Sonny Lightning held strong finishing with 26 saves. Vikings goalie Jon Hall had 34 stops.
