Hats Off To Closs, Caps a Viking Overtime Victory

The Thousand Island Vikings won a hard fought contest at home, versus the Blue Devils of Ogdensburg. Viking Bill Closs opened the scoring midway through the first period which was set up by Trevor Parisian. Blue Devil Tim Barr responded 3 minutes later to tie the score on assists from teammates Adam Gillmand and Brenden Johnson. In the second period, OFA scored the go ahead tally on a 5-3 power-play goal scored by Joel Abar and was assisted by Morley and Adam Gillman. The Vikings responded in a big way as Closs tied the score with just under two minutes to play in the 3rd and then scored the game winner in OT. Both goals were assisted by Parisian with Lars Grater also assisting on the game deciding goal. Both goalies, Viking Jon Hall and Blue Devil Tanner Lawrence each finished with 29 saves.
