NYS Boys Cross Country Championship

Matt Pierce of Canton (Lisbon) finished 26th overall in the Class B race.

The 2007 New York State Boys Cross Country Championships were held at the Norwood-Norfolk Central high school on Saturday. The Beaver River Beavers returned to the winners circle for the first time in 7 years to earn their 13th championship in school history. The top individual runner from Section 10 was Jon Eng of Norwood-Norfolk. Jon finished in 12th place in the Class C race with a time of 16:48. Matt Pierce of Canton (Lisbon) had a good showing in the Class B race finishing in 26th place with a time of 16:56. Norwood-Norfolk came in 8th place as a team in Class C, Tupper Lake finished in 9th place and OFA came in 11th place in Class B. Charlie Beaudette was the top finisher from Section 10 in the Class D race with a time of 18:03 to earn a 35th place finish overall.
