Malone Wins Section 10 Overall Championship

The Malone Huskies upset the defending champion Chateaugay Bulldogs by the score of 3-2 in 5 exciting games. I have been to a few volleyball games in my days, but I do not ever remember being at a volleyball game like this one. Both teams were very skilled and had the heart and pride to be the champions. Annie Murphy collected 27 points, 5 kills and 10 aces to lead the Huskies. Haley Poupore added 12 points, including 19 kills and 4 aces and Alayna Gervais registered 5 points, 9 assist and 4 blocks for Malone. Cindy Harrigan led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Annie Smith had 21 kills and Taylor Cassavaw had 21 assists in the losing effort for Chateaugay.
