Malone, N-N and Tupper Lake Adance to States

Emily and Colleen Cotey of N-N enter the woods leading the pack in the Section 10 Championship.

The Section 10 Cross Country championships were held at the Norwood-Norfolk school to determine the schools that will be returning to Norwood on November 10th for the New York State Championship meet. In Class B, Malone easily defeated OFA and Salmon River. In Class C, Norwood-Norfolk won over Canton with Emily and Colleen Cotey leading the way with first and second place finishes overall. In Class D, Tupper Lake won by default over Brushton-Moira who entered the meet with an incomplete team. Massena is the only Class A team in Section 10. Emily Cotey came in with a time of 20:12 for first place. Colleen Cotey wrapped up second place with a time of 20:32. Ashley Lamica placed 3rd for Malone with a time of 21:05.
