Norwood-Norfolk Girls Win Invitational

Emily Cotey of N-N placed 4th overall in the Varsity III event.

The host Lady Flyers win the Girls Varsity III event at the Norwood-Norfolk invitational. Emily Cotey, Colleen Cotey, Victoria Hall, Stephanie Volz and Allie Willer all finished in the top 25 for the victory. Emily came in 4th place overall in the race with a time of 20:47 to lead the Flyers. Colleen had a 5th place finish with a time of 21:14. This invitational was a chance for teams all over the state to get a good look at William J. Stone course, which will host the State Championship in Novemeber. Over 100 teams and over 900 runners participated. In the Varsity II race, Ashley Lamica placed 9th with a time of 20:40 to led the Malone Huskies to a 4th place finish. On the boys side, Jon Eng of N-N placed 4th in his race with a time of 17:29 to post the best finish for Section 10 boys runners.
