Skaneateles Boys Hand Salmon River Their First Loss

The Skaneateles Lakers nip the Salmon River Shamrocks in the first round of the NYS Class C lacrosse playoff by the score of 15-14. The halftime score was 5-9. Salmon River led after 3 quarters of play, but Skaneateles stepped up their game scoring 6 goals in the 4th to hand Salmon River their first loss of the season. Kelly Donigan scored the game-winning goal with only a minute left in play for the Lakers. Ty Thompson led the Shamrocks with 5 goals and an assist. Hank Delisle added 4 goals and 2 assists, Matthew Thompson supplied 2 goals and 4 assists, Seth Oakes also netted 2 goals and Lyle Thompson picked up 6 assists for Salmon River. Salmon River end a great season 16-1.
