St. Lawrence Larries Win Class C Title

The #1 St. Lawrence Larries win over the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers by the score of 2-0 in the Section 10 Class C championship game. SLC scored 1 run in the 5th inning and 1 run in the 6th inning. Amanda Locke led the Larries with 2 hits including a double. Sarah Thayer pitched a complete game shutout allowing just 4 hits. Kailey Martens led the Flyers with 2 hits. SLC will play Section 7 Class C champion Ticonderoga on Monday at SUNY Potsdam 3:00pm.

Mission Accomplished. Section X Champions. Congratulations to Coach Brown and his wonderful team. Last year you knocked on the door...this year you ripped the door open and barged through. You kept that goal in sight through a season filled with excitement. The championship game was a fitting ending to a dream season. It will be a great memory for you for the rest of your lives. The '08 year is not over! There is at least one more chapter to be written. You can continue to win. We believe that you will go farther than any team from section X. Good luck on Monday.
