Edwards-Knox Girls Win Over Hammond, 3-2

The #4 Edwards-Knox Cougars win over the #5 Hammond Red Devils by the score of 3-2 in the first round of the Section 10 Class D playoffs. Edwards-Knox scored the first 2 runs of the game in the bottom of the 6th inning. Hammond tied the game with 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning only to see E-K win the game in the bottom of the 7th. Raven Reese knocked in the game-winning run with the bases loaded. Miranda Typhair had 12 strikeouts to earn the win on the mound for E-K. E-K will play #1 seed Heuvelton on Monday June 2nd at Heuvelton.
