Madrid-Waddington Girls Advance to Class C Finals

The Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets win over Avon by the score of 42-35 in the Class C NYS State semifinals. The halftime score was 25-19. Jennifer Curley led the Yellowjackets with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Cierra Wells and Stephanie Lanctoadded 9 points and 5 rebounds each for M-W. The Yellowjackets will take on a tough Haldane club out of Section 1 who has won each game in the state playoffs by 14 points or more. The game starts at 1:45pm on Sunday in Troy at HVCC.
