Malone Girls Win 4th Straight Section 10 Title

The Malone Huskies win over the Hammond Red Devils by the score of 55-47 in the Section 10 overall championship game. The halftime score was 24-23. Mid-way through the 3rd quarter the Malone Huskies started to pull away. They led by as many as 18 points at one point in the game. Alyson Johnson led the Huskies with 23 points. Haley Poupore added 16 points for Malone. Brittany Kenyon led the Red Devils with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Cassie Cunningham and Aubrie Dunn each had 8 points, 8 rebounds and 7 rebounds respectively. Malone will start there NYS playoff run on Tuesday at Adirondack Community College. Hammond gets a bye to the Class D quarterfinals and will play to go back to the final 4 on Saturday March 8th at SUNY Potsdam.
