Massena Wins Section 10 Division I Crown

The Potsdam Sandstoners knew it was going to be a long night when Massena scored their first goal 6 seconds into the game. Due to scheduling conflicts and award ceremonies the game did not start until almost 10:00pm. That did not matter to Massena. Massena came out ready to play. They jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead only 7 minutes into the game. Potsdam scored at the end of the first period and had hopes of a comeback. Massena's defensive effort was key to the win. Potsdam was held to just 16 shots in the game. Massena won the Section 10 Division I title by the final score of 4-1. Pat George led the Red Raiders with 1 goal and 1 assist including the first goal of the game 6 seconds in. Matt Hatch, Conor Riley and Nathan Pichette scored 1 goal each for Massena. Matt Supernault assisted on 2 of the 4 goals for the Red Raiders. Chris Roll scored the lone goal for the Sandstoners late in the 1st period. Kyle Anderson earned the victory stopping 15 shots in goal for Massena.
