In a game with two huge offensive weapons, the Class "C" Championship looked to be a match up in which would be an obvious battle of offenses. Brushton-Moira came out quick in the first as they used some well balanced looks on offense. Tupper Lake also found the basket but failed to find a lead as the Panthers took a 19-14 first quarter lead. Brushton-Moia, on the heels of Justin Poirier, used a 20 point second quarter to take a huge 39-23 halftime lead. In the second half, the Lumberjacks just could not buy a basket. They got rebound after rebound and still could not get a put back. The Panthers pulled away totally, outscoring the 'Jacks, 27-16 in the second half. Patrick Poirier scored 11 to lead the Lumberjacks. Josh Sevey scored 21 and Justin Poirier had 20 for the Panthers. Brushton-Moira will play Ogdensburg in the Section 10 overall semifinals on Thursday @ SUNY Potsdam.
