Potsdam Advances to Finals with 2nd Half Surge

The #2 seed Potsdam Sandstoners win over the #3 seed Canton Bears by the score of 57-39 in the Section 10 Class B semifinals. Canton led at the half by the score of 24-19 and was looking to upset the Sandstoners in front of a jam packed gymnasium at Norwood-Norfolk high school. But, Potsdam was not going to let that happen. They regrouped at halftime and outscored the Bears 38-15 in the second half. Maggie Cook led the Sandstoners with 18 points. Caitlin Dullea added 10 points and Kaila Maguire had 8 points for Potsdam. Brittany Jones led the Bears with 11 points. Christy Foster and Brittani Bessette each had 8 points in their final game of the season. Potsdam will play #1 seed Ogdensburg on Friday for the Section 10 Class B title.
