#5 Gouverneur Does it Again

The #5 seed Gouverneur Wildcats advance to the Section 10 Class B semifinals with a win over the #4 Salmon River Shamrocks by the score of 51-49. Gouverneur was in the same situation last season, seeded #5 and had to travel to Salmon River in the first round of the Class B playoffs. Gouverneur won that game by the score of 74-51. In this game, the halftime score was 25-24. Gouverneur went on a 17-9 run in the 3rd quarter to build up a 9 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. Salmon River made a run at Gouverneur in the 4th quarter but came up just short. Tyler Davis led the Wildcats with 18 points. Alex Bush had 12 points for Gouverneur. Dan Gerow led the Shamrocks with 21 points. Dan Tremblay added 13 points and Matthew Thompson scored 10 points for Salmon River. Gouverneur will face #1 OFA on Friday @ Norwood-Norfolk High School 8:00pm.
