Closs Leads Vikes to home victory

Junior Bill Closs scored the game winning goal late in the second period as the Thousand Vikings secured a 5 to 1 victory on home ice over the visiting Larries of St. Lawrence Central. Playing their last regular season game at home, the Vikings picked up singleton goals from Juniors Matt Damon and Trevor Parisian. Senior Lars Grater chipped in with 2 assists. The Larries scored early in the 3rd period off the stick of Zack Baldwin. St. Lawrence goalie Kyle Shampine kept the game close as he faced 47 shots on goal. Viking netminder Jon Hall finished with 15 stops.
