The Alexandria Purple Ghost win over the IHC Cavaliers by the score of 2-1 in double overtime to capture the Matt Black Tournament title. Jason Heath scored the game-winning goal just over a minute of play in the second OT. Brian Sanford scored the first goal for Alexandria in the 2nd period. Shawn Thomas recorded 25 saves in goal for Alexandria.
