Potsdam Wins Battle Against Massena in OT

The Potsdam Sandstoners win over the Massena Red Raiders by the score of 5-4 in overtime. We have been looking forward to this match up for weeks and it did not disappoint. Both teams were undefeated in league play and both teams are ranked in top 10 of the NYS Division I polls. Potsdam scored first 3 minutes and 18 seconds into the game. Massena tied the game up at 1-1 just before the end of the 1st period on a goal by Nathan Pichette. The second period saw 6 of the 9 total goals scored in the game. Potsdam scored the first 2 goals in the period within 1 minute and 23 seconds of each other. Massena scored 2 goals in the final 1:30 of the 2nd period to tie the game at 4-4.
